Relining is a trenchless method of repair damaged or aging sewer pipes without the need for full excavation. Instead of digging up and replacing the pipe, a new lining is installed inside the existing pipe to restore its structural integrity and functionality.

There are innumerable benefits of no-dig solutions -such as faster installation, less traffic disruption, reduced material and labor costs, improved safety for workers and a more sustainable solution, when compared to excavation work.

After a relining, the structural integrity and functionality of the pipe will be restored and improved, creating a seamless, jointless pipe within the old sewer.

You can rehabilitate a variety of wastewater pipes, from vertical in-house connections, laterals to mainlines and manholes. All types of pipe material – cast iron, PVC, can be renovated using a Sewertronics system, since the new pipe will have its own structural integrity.

The integrated camera on the curing heads is great to use to view the installation process and inspect the liner before curing but it cannot be used for a full CCTV inspection.

The assumed lifespan of a Sewertronics UV LED cured installation is 50 years.

Basic maintenance needed on a Sewertronics system includes cleaning the curing heads, changing the glass on the curing head if damaged, and visual checks of the system, all of which can be done in the field easily.

The basic maintenance and repair work, such as changing the curing head glass or main hose, can be done in the field. For wider service support, we recommend working with your local Sewertronics partner.

The lifespan is dependent on the condition and individual use case, but it can be 600 hours to thousands of hours.

When following the standard operating procedure of the system and typical health & safety processes during an installation, there are no health or environmental risks.

Cure time depends on the type of resin & liner used but a SpeedyLight+ system can cure up to 1.2m/minute, which is 6 times faster than traditional cure methods of standard UV, ambient, hot water and steam.

Yes – since the resin does not begin to cure until it is exposed to UV radiation wavelength, it can be impregnated at the manufacturer, shop or job site.

Yes – every second of the installation is documented and after the relining job a PDF file is available with the curing documentation

Compressor and power supply needed is dependent on the system configuration – length and curing heads. Our local sales partner or the Sewertronics technical team can provide specific information for your unique system set up.

The inversion pressure & curing pressure required will be according to the liner manufacturer used, while the minimum curing pressure required by a Sewertronics system is 0.2 bar.

Yes – using a transparent calibration tube you can easily perform open-end pipe rehabilitation.

Yes – with an extension hose it is possible.

As each job is unique, it can be done in certain cases with prior planning and consideration.

You can work in pipes with 45-degree bends and 90-degree bends using different configurations of curing heads and Sewertronics systems.

Depending on the site access and set up, you could reline approximately 95 meters if curing from one access point. If curing from both sides (2 access points), you could reline even longer.

Yes – Sewertronics systems can cure diameter change liners. Curing speeds and times are dependent on the type of liner used.

UV LED curing requires less power and energy than traditional curing methods like ambient, hot water/steam and standard UV. Using a small and portable Sewertronics system, you can also cure 5 times faster than with traditional methods.

Using the Spectra Dive head, compatible with both the SpeedyLight+ and LEDRig, and Brandenburger Vertical 2.5 Liner, you can rehabilitate manholes with ease.
