The SpeedyLight+ system is available with 50m, 70m or 100m of hose, allowing you to cure up to 95 m.
The LEDRig system is available with 200 m of hose.
Is there any training provided if a system is purchased. If so, what is it?
Yes – our expert local partners or our Sewertronics technical team can provide comprehensive, bespoke technical training, at a job site or your facility, depending on your experience.
We’ll make sure that you feel confident using any Sewertronics system.
Any recognized certification for training or using the equipment?
Sewertronics can provide an individualized training certificate after our equipment training, but other certifications related to pipe rehabilitation will need to be obtained for the appropriate certification body.
What support is available to customers who have the equipment?
Our expert local partners and Sewertronics technical team are on hand for phone, email, and in person support to Sewertronics users. This could be anything from virtual support over WhatsApp to multiple day in person support at your job site.
What is relining?
Relining is a trenchless method of repair damaged or aging sewer pipes without the need for full excavation. Instead of digging up and replacing the pipe, a new lining is installed inside the existing pipe to restore its structural integrity and functionality.
What are the benefits of trenchless technology?
There are innumerable benefits of no-dig solutions -such as faster installation, less traffic disruption, reduced material and labor costs, improved safety for workers and a more sustainable solution, when compared to excavation work.
What results are expected after a relining?
After a relining, the structural integrity and functionality of the pipe will be restored and improved, creating a seamless, jointless pipe within the old sewer.
What pipes can be renovated with a Sewertronics system?
You can rehabilitate a variety of wastewater pipes, from vertical in-house connections, laterals to mainlines and manholes. All types of pipe material – cast iron, PVC, can be renovated using a Sewertronics system, since the new pipe will have its own structural integrity.
Is it possible to use the integrated camera on the LED heads for inspections?
The integrated camera on the curing heads is great to use to view the installation process and inspect the liner before curing but it cannot be used for a full CCTV inspection.
What is the assumed lifespan of an installation?
The assumed lifespan of a Sewertronics UV LED cured installation is 50 years.
What maintenance is needed on the system?
Basic maintenance needed on a Sewertronics system includes cleaning the curing heads, changing the glass on the curing head if damaged, and visual checks of the system, all of which can be done in the field easily.
Can we do maintenance work and repairs ourselves?
The basic maintenance and repair work, such as changing the curing head glass or main hose, can be done in the field. For wider service support, we recommend working with your local Sewertronics partner.
What is the lifespan of the LED diodes?
The lifespan is dependent on the condition and individual use case, but it can be 600 hours to thousands of hours.
How should impregnated liners be stored?
Impregnated liners should be stored according to the manufacturer’s instructions, and out of direct UV light. Some UV liners can be stored up to 6 months.
Does the installation disturb residents?
No – Sewertronics systems are portable, low-noise and low odor with styrene free resin – optimized for work inside apartment buildings, residences or businesses.
Is the system CE approved?
Yes – the system is CE approved.
What liner and resin certifications do Sewertronics have?
Numerous liner and resin manufacturers have certified their materials to WRC, DiBT and IKT standards using a Sewertronics UV LED system. For more information, check out our certifications page here.
Are there any health or environmental risks during the installation process?
When following the standard operating procedure of the system and typical health & safety processes during an installation, there are no health or environmental risks.
How long does a normal installation take?
Cure time depends on the type of resin & liner used but a SpeedyLight+ system can cure up to 1.2m/minute, which is 6 times faster than traditional cure methods of standard UV, ambient, hot water and steam.
Can the liner be pre-impregnated?
Yes – since the resin does not begin to cure until it is exposed to UV radiation wavelength, it can be impregnated at the manufacturer, shop or job site.
Is the installation documented?
Yes – every second of the installation is documented and after the relining job a PDF file is available with the curing documentation
What compressor and power supply is needed?
Compressor and power supply needed is dependent on the system configuration – length and curing heads. Our local sales partner or the Sewertronics technical team can provide specific information for your unique system set up.
What pressure is used during inversion and installation of the liner?
The inversion pressure & curing pressure required will be according to the liner manufacturer used, while the minimum curing pressure required by a Sewertronics system is 0.2 bar.
Is it possible to make an open-end installation?
Yes – using a transparent calibration tube you can easily perform open-end pipe rehabilitation.
Is installation without a calibration tube possible?
Yes – with an extension hose it is possible.
Is installation in pressing groundwater possible?
As each job is unique, it can be done in certain cases with prior planning and consideration.
What bends are possible to reline with a Sewertronics system?
You can work in pipes with 45-degree bends and 90-degree bends using different configurations of curing heads and Sewertronics systems.
How long can you reline in one shot?
Depending on the site access and set up, you could reline approximately 95 meters if curing from one access point. If curing from both sides (2 access points), you could reline even longer.
Can the liner expand to a bigger diameter?
Yes – Sewertronics systems can cure diameter change liners. Curing speeds and times are dependent on the type of liner used.
How is UV LED curing different than other rehabilitation methods?
UV LED curing requires less power and energy than traditional curing methods like ambient, hot water/steam and standard UV. Using a small and portable Sewertronics system, you can also cure 5 times faster than with traditional methods.
Can you renovate manholes?
Using the Spectra Dive head, compatible with both the SpeedyLight+ and LEDRig, and Brandenburger Vertical 2.5 Liner, you can rehabilitate manholes with ease.
